VirtualCare’s telemedicine services are currently available only within Brazil and are provided in accordance with applicable Brazilian ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, including CFM Resolution No. 2.314/2022, Law No. 14.510/2022, and other applicable regulations.

When telemedicine consultations are provided, they may only be recorded with the patient’s prior and express consent. The physician will request the patient’s authorization before any recording begins. The patient may refuse the recording, and the consultation will still take place normally, without any harm to the quality of care.

Any recording, when authorized, and any health-related information provided during medical care will be treated with confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection and medical confidentiality rules.

5. Legal Basis for Processing Sensitive Data

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law, known as LGPD, health data is considered sensitive personal data. The processing of such data is allowed only in specific situations, such as with the patient’s consent, for the performance of legal or contractual obligations, for the protection of health, or in other cases permitted by law.
